THICK FOLIO SIZE BOOK, four spine binding cords, plain uncovered card (thick layered paper) front and rear boards (it appears as if the book had its original covering (vellum?) removed and was being prepared for recovering), 9" X 13.5" (23cm x 34cm.) Pagination: [4] half-title page, title-page, blank versos; IV Forward, [2] Dedication (laid-in loosely); [4] Author's Preface with half-page engraving; XCVI Instrumentum Pacis; 104 plus 3 fold-open Genealogical Charts and several unnumbered Genealogical Plates; + 686. Illustrated with a lovely half-page engraving, a title-page engraved crest, some facsimile signatures, and an engraved Printer's device at the bottom of the last page. CONDITION: Covers are plain layered-paper card boards lacking their leather over-covering, as noted above. They are well-worn along the edges, but look suitable for recovering. The text block is in good shape, the dedication leaf (following the title-page) is detached and laid-in loosely, there are creases and edge wear, here and there throughout, pages show light age toning, overall the pages are very well maintained, still complete, tight, bright, clean and unmarked.
