1667 PARATITLA, SIVE SUMMARIA ET METHODICA EXPLICATIO DECRETALIUM D. GREGORII PAPAE IX Leather Binding

PARATITLA SIVE SUMMARIA Et METHODICA EXPLICATIO DECRETALIUM D. GREGORII PAPAE IX. Opus novum, Scholae ac Foro, & Decretis Concilii. Tridentini accommodatum. Edito Postrema, A plurimis, quibus ante scatebat, mendis purgata. ANDREAE VALLENSIS, Vulgo DEL VAULX, ANDANENSIS. (Andreae Vallensis, also known as Andrea Desselius Valerius and Walter Driessens, 1588 - 1655, taught Hebrew and established his "Collegium Trilingue" at Louvain University.) Apud Vidaum BERNARDINI MASII sub viridi Cruce, M. DC. LXVII (1667). Leather bound covered boards, five raised spine bands, gilt titling and gilt designs on spine, 7.25x 8.5" (18cm x 21.5cm), pagination: [16], 608, [15]. Front free-endpaper is lacking, rear free-endpaper is present. Condition: Covers are worn and bowing out, but remain sturdy and quite attractive in a Harry Potter Hogwarts' Library way; EX-LIB, deaccessioned from the Pacific Theological Seminary, with its old bookplate on the front pastedown, a

small shelving label on the spine, and a card pocket and "return by" sheet on the rear endpapers being the only old library marks I could find (though there may be one or two I missed); the front and rear inner hinges are split but holding very well with the 4 string bands; there is an early previous owner's label on the front pastedown "Alex Roussea", and a lovely previous owner's

brief inscription at the top of the title page dated 1724 (I can't decipher the name or place); the inner pages are very nice - just some very light foxing here and there, a spot or two, a crease or two - overall tight, bright, clean and unmarked. A lovely copy of this antiquarian book. INTERNATIONAL BUYERS PLEASE NOTE: This book is large and heavy and will require additional shipping charges. After placing your order you will be notified of the additional charges and be able to accept or reject them before your payment is processed.
