1924 COMPLETE CATALOGUE THE LIBRARY OF JOHN QUINN in TWO VOLUMES First Edition

COMPLETE CATALOGUE OF THE LIBRARY OF JOHN QUINN in TWO VOLUMES. Catalog for the Auction that took place in New York in 1924. PRICES REALIZED printed at the end of Volume Two. Published by The Anderson Galleries, 1924. First edition. Two Hardcover Books, 6x9.5 inches, 1205 total pages plus 62 unnumbered pages of Prices Realized at the end of Volume Two. Each volume has some b&w illustrations, but this is mainly a written, descriptive catalogue. 12,096 Items are listed and were offered at this auction. The John Quinn collection was an amazing gathering of modern (at the time) literature. Included was a HANDWRITTEN COPY OF ULYSSES by JAMES JOYCE that went for $1,975, purchased by the Rosenbach Foundation, and has been at the Rosenbach Museum, Philadelphia, ever since. GOOD condition. The covers of both volumes are sunned at the spines, have spine end, edge and corner tip wear; internally the pages have lightly toned, as normal, there are a few pencil prices realized in the margins here and there, otherwise tight, bright, clean and clear. A used but solid set of this important literary collection and auction. INTERNATIONAL BUYERS PLEASE NOTE: These two books will require additional shipping charges. After placing your order you will be notified of the additional charges and be able to accept or reject them before your payment is processed. Or you can contact us ahead of time to find out the shipping charge to your country. Thanks.
