THE ART OF USSR DIAMOND TREASURY'S JEWELLERS. Published in Moscow, USSR, 1991. Text in Russian and English. A book that displays some of the most beautiful jewels made by master jewel makers in the USSR and that were held in the Diamond Treasury. The jewels were designed by V.G. Sitnikov, V.V. Nikolayev, N.V. Rostovtseva, and I.F. Kazenov; and made by master jewelers V.V. Nikolayev, G.F. Aleksakhin, B.V. Ivanov, and V.Y. Zhilin. All were produced under the auspices of Gokhran. Hardcover book, printed covers, no dustjacket as issued, 8.5x9 inches, 112 pages. Illustrated with 40 PHOTOGRAPHS of some incredible jewelry, each printed on its own page with descriptions in Russian and English on facing pages. Also contains some in text photographs of the jewelry makers. VERY GOOD condition, light signs of handling and use, overall tight, bright, clean and unmarked. A solid, very nice copy. An interesting look at Jewelry making in the Soviet Union. Published just months before the Soviet Union disbanded.
