Illustrated with line drawings and b&w photographs. VERY GOOD condition, just lightly used, still tight, bright, clean, clear and unmarked. The design and construction of the 456 Montgomery Street building was controversial because It was constructed over two historic buildings, the Italian American Bank (Albert Pissis), a city landmark built in 1907, and the Sutro and Co. Building (Howard & Galloway) built in 1908. Facadism at its best, or worst. Original Environmental Impact Report concerning the 1980s skyscraper that generated controversy and helped reshape San Francisco's skyline.
