1998 HOUSING INVENTORY of SAN FRANCISCO City Planning Department

1998 HOUSING INVENTORY. Prepared and Published by the SAN FRANCISCO PLANNING DEPARTMENT, June 1999.

From the Introduction: "The Housing Inventory is a statistical report that provides data for analysis of housing trends and projections, including housing construction, demolition and alterations."

From the Key Findings page: "forecasts point to the need for about 23,000 net new housing units by 2020 to support job growth and associated population growth. In the next decade, to 2010, a particularly high rate of housing production of about 1,440 units per year is anticipated under this scenario."

(I think someone in 1999 forgot to account for the coming Techie Invasion of San Francisco!)
