ILLUSTRATED THROUGHOUT with historic documents and photographs related to the Carapelli family and its agricultural business, primarily olive oil, over an eighty year period ending in 1973.
VOLUME II: Il Mito Dell'olivo e Delle Messi Nella Pittura Toscana (The Myth of the Olive and Crops in Tuscan Painting). Fold open covers / case containing a white paper folder that holds 19 LARGE LOOSE LEAVES consisting of 4 Introductory Leaves with Text in Italian, and 15 LEAVES each with a TIPPED ON COLOR PLATE reproducing ART from the Carapelli family collection. The ART PLATES depict TUSCANY, its OLIVE TREES, and other Tuscan AGRICULTURAL SCENES. The plates are lovely and suitable for framing.
NEAR FINE CONDITION: There is a slight bit of soiling to the bottom of the covers' spines and to the rear cover of Volume II, and a hint of shelf rubbing to the slipcase; overall the TWO VOLUMES, SLIPCASE and ALL THE PLATES are in beautiful condition. Solid, Bright, Clean, Clear and Unmarked. Lovely.
