Published by Palm Press (Creative Thing aka Leslie Caldera), Whittier, California, 1987. Limited Edition Artist Book, one of only 200 copies, this is copy #142, SIGNED and NUMBERED by artist publisher Leslie Caldera. Each copy is unique with hand-collaged cover and numerous tipped in original pieces including collages, stickers, rubber stamping, a printed button and rubber stamp. Softcover, 8.25" x 5.5", 66 un-numbered leaves of illustrated plates. Artists represented include: Al Ackerman, Ruggero Maggi, Buz Blurr, Jack Saunders, Pawel Petasz, Creative Thing, Private World, Gerard Barbot, Arturo Fallico, Keith Bates, John Held Jr., Jürgen Olbrich, David Cole, Steve Random, Chuck Stake, Vittore Baroni, and others. VERY GOOD Condition: just some light wear, some small stains, and toning to the covers, otherwise tight, bright, clean, unmarked and complete as issued. Merz is a nonsense word invented by the German artist Kurt Schwitters (1877-1948) to describe Dada and his collage and assemblage works based on scavenged scrap materials.
