GUTENBERG BIBLE AT BRIDWELL LIBRARY Exhibition Catalog
GUTENBERG BIBLE AT BRIDWELL.
Catalog published by the Bridwell Library, Southern Methodist University, Dallas Texas, in conjunction with the exhibition that took place at the Elizabeth Perkins Prothro Galleries titled: JOHANNES GUTENBERG: MAN OF THE MILLENNIUM. The exhibition took place from 21 September - 21 December, 2000.
Thin Exhibition Catalog / Booklet, 16 pages including covers. The catalog contains a discussion of the 31 consecutive leaves of the Gutenberg Bible held at Bridwell (the largest consecutive fragment in the United States), a history of the Gutenberg Bible, a Chronology of Gutenberg, and the location of all the known complete copies of the Gutenberg Bible. A lot of information in these 16 pages!
HAND SIGNED by Eric Marshall White, Curator of Special Collections, on the last page at the end of his essay and above his printed name. While not quite as nice as a Gutenberg signature, it still adds a nice touch.
VERY GOOD condition, just lightly used, still tight, bright, clean, clear and unmarked. A special and unusual little item.
