Vintage 1930 Jewish-American Cookbook by the iconic Manischewitz Matzo Bakery. Featuring Kosher Recipes in both Yiddish and English. 250 Recipes prepared with Manischewitz's Matzo, Matzo Meal, and Farfel including Sponge Cakes, Honey Cake, Almond Cookies, Macaroons, Wine Cake, Cheese Cake, Apple Fritters, Farfel Pudding, Potato Pancakes, Knoedel, Chicken Kneshas, Marrow Dumplings, Matzo Stuffing, Soup Nuts, Feather Balls, Farfel Candy, and much more. In 1888 Rabbi Dov Behr Manischewitz founded a small bakery in Cincinnati to make Matzo (flat unleavened bread) for Passover.

Hardbound in original Illustrated paper covered boards, 7.75" x 5.25", patterned endpapers, 79 pages in English (left to right), 79 pages in Yiddish (right to left), with a 2 page illustrated Manischewitz advertisement at the center of the book, also illustrated with 16 color images of the prepared recipes, plus images of the Manischewitz factory and Manischewitz whole wheat matzo products. Also a one page Jewish Calendar for future holiday planning (1930-1935). VERY GOOD CONDITION: light wear to the covers, inner pages show a touch of age, some small spotting and offsetting here and there, a few hairline gutter cracks, and the binding is a touch shaky but holding well, overall an excellent example of this 1930 bilingual Jewish Cookbook.
