1970 THE HUMAN BE-IN Helen Swick Perry FIRST EDITION Presentation Copy HIPPIES
THE HUMAN BE-IN, by Helen Swick Perry.
Published by Basic Books, Inc., New York & London, 1970. First Edition, First Printing, with the date 1970 on the copyright page, the price $6.95 on the dustjacket, and no indication of additional printings.
Hardcover Book in Dustjacket, yellow cloth covered boards, red lettering and purple design on the spine, photographic endpapers, 5.5x8.5 inches, 244 pages,
Presentation Copy. Handwritten on the front free endpaper is: "Farber / San Francisco, Calif. / 6-70 / (from Helen Perry)". I am not familiar with Helen Perry's handwriting or signature but it seems to me the presentation was written by Faber, the recipient, and not by Perry herself.
Condition: GOOD PLUS book, the covers are sharp cornered and bright, book would be near fine but for a light quarter-size half-circle stain to the title page and its facing page and a thumbprint size light brown stain to the Prologue page and it's facing page; otherwise book is tight, bright, clean, clear and unmarked. In a GOOD dustjacket that has some wear at the spine ends, toning to its edges, some rubbing, and a light crease to its upper corner, but is solid, bright, clean, and is doing its job well. Now in protective Mylar.
Good Times at HIPPIE HILL in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park!
