1896 PRACTICAL WINDOW DRESSING FOR SHOE STORES / FOOTWEAR WINDOW DISPLAYS
PRACTICAL WINDOW DRESSING for SHOE STORES. "A Series of Prize Articles on Window Dressing which Appeared in "Boots and Shoes" Weekly During the Year 1895."
Published by M.T. Richardson Co., Publishers, New York, 1896. First (and only) edition.
Hardcovers, blue cloth covered boards titled in black, 5.5x8 inches ( 14.5x21 cm). Pagination: [14] ads, 227 pp., [3] ads. Illustrated with b&w plates taken from etchings and photographs. The shoe advertisements of the day are great.
GOOD condition: The covers have some light soiling, a few small marks, and some minor indents; the cloth of the front hinge is scraped, and there is a bit of wear to the corner tips; overall these 1896 covers are attractive and doing their job well; internally the pages are lightly age toned, otherwise tight, bright, clean and unmarked. A solid, presentable copy.
RARE, you'd wear your shoes out trying to find a copy!
