RARE ENDEMIC PLANTS OF THE HAWAIIAN ISLANDS, by Harold St. John, et al. This is "Book 1" but I don't think there was ever a "Book 2".

Published by the State of Hawaii, Dept. of Land and Natural Resources, Division of Forestry and Wildlife. Honolulu, Hawaii, 1981.

Paper covers, plastic spiral bound, 8.5x11 inches, 74 unnumbered pages, pages printed on one side only (except for a few prelim pages printed on both sides). 68 plants, each on its own page, are described, along with details of their habitat and the threats to their existence; each is illustrated with a b&w photograph.

GOOD condition, some toning and light soiling to the covers, there is a previous owner's name on the front cover, otherwise bright, clean, clear and unmarked.

As this was published over 40 years ago I wonder how many of these plants are now extinct.
