4 Yearbooks TOWN SCHOOL FOR BOYS, San Francisco, 1952-1955 with an Opera Review by 8th Grader JOHN ROCKWELL Likely the First Review by the Noted New York Times Music Critic
FOUR TOWN TIGER YEARBOOKS - TOWN SCHOOL FOR BOYS, SAN FRANCISCO, 1952, 1953, 1954 and 1955.
Paper covers, three side stapled, one plastic spiral bound, 8.5x11 inches, approximately 50 pages each. Illustrated with b&w photographs, including a class photograph of each grade, including the Kindergarten Class.
GOOD condition. Chris Cutter, a Town School student, wrote his name on the front cover of each yearbook. There are lots of autographs primarily on the first and last few pages. Otherwise just light signs of age and handling, still complete, bright, clean and clear.
Town School is a boys' school that was established in San Francisco in 1939.
NOTE: John Rockwell, the noted New York Times Art and Music Critic, is a Town School alumni and is in the yearbooks. As an eighth grader he even wrote a review of an opera that is in one of the yearbooks. Possibly his first review!
