Softcover, illustrated wrappers, side staple bound, 8" x 5.5", 23 pages. GOOD Condition: covers have light age toning to the margins, light edge/corner wear, front cover has 4 small closed edge tears, internally light edge/corner wear, a few small random spots, the staples are lightly oxidized but holding well, overall tight, bright, clean and unmarked. A scarce original lecture pamphlet printed for Swami Vivekananda while on his 1896 lecture circuit. Only one in OCLC collections.
Swami Vivekananda (b. India 1863-1902) influential spiritual and religious leader, Hindu monk, philosopher, chief disciple of the Indian mystic Ramakrishna, key figure in popularizing the self improvement ethos of Vedanta and Yoga, founder in 1894 of the Vedanta Society of New York, and founder of the Ramakrishna Mission in India 1897.
