BROADSIDE "12 WISHES FOR ANY SEASON" by DIANE DI PRIMA et al ASSOCIATION COPY with the original postmarked mailing envelope addressed to PAUL MARIAH
12 WISHES FOR ANY SEASON. "Printed for New Year 1974 for Diane di Prima, Grant Fisher and Josie Grant at Spring Creek Typesetting." The date 1974 was hand corrected to 1975. Published in late 1974 for the year turning 1975.
A twice folded sheet that opens up into a three panel broadside that displays a drawing by Josie Grant and two poems, one by Di Prima and one by Grant Fisher. The backside of the folding broadside is blank except for the printing statement.
This copy was sent by Grant Fisher to PAUL MARIAH. The original postmarked manila mailing envelope is included with the broadside. The manila envelope has the handwritten address of Paul Mariah in So. San Francisco and the return address of Gary Fisher in Point Reyes Station (where he lived with Diane Di Prima in a house on stilts). The envelope is postmarked Point Reyes Station, 1975.
Condition: The Broadside is in GOOD MINUS condition, lots of light creases to the upper portion and other signs of handling (and mailing!), but no chips or tears and the printing is bright and clear. A solid but oft-handled copy. The envelope is in FAIR condition. Creases from being mailed and handled, but still solid and PAUL MARIAH'S name and address is bright and clear.
GRANT FISHER and DIANE DI PRIMA were married from 1972-1976. Grant Fisher was a conscientious objector to the Vietnam War and a poet. Josie Grant is an artist.
