Only FAIR condition: Front cover and front endpaper detached (present but loose), rear cover only tenuously attached; the leather covered boards are rubbed and scraped; the spine covering was tightly reglued. Internally, the endpapers have some foxing, toning, and offsetting from the leather covers; the loose front endpaper is chipped and creased along its edges; there is an early previous owner's signature on the title page; all the pages have old water staining / shorelining most noticeably in the upper gutter margin area but some spreads to other areas as well, it varies in intensity and amount but the text is always legible; there is foxing on some pages, some pages have edge wear and edge chips, the binding is split at a few places but holding with the sewn binding; despite its flaws this is a bright, clean, clear and unmarked copy, with text that is legible throughout.
A complete copy of this 1807 edition of FRAUD STATUES, scarce as is and worthy of rebinding.
