XXe Siècle, No. 28, June 1967. Abstract Art Review. Published by Cahiers d'Art, Paris, France. First edition. Hardbound, illustrated covers, 12.5" x 9.75", 140 numbered pages, illustrated with 8 color plates, 12 four-color prints, 2 original color lithographs, and in-text b&w illustrations throughout featuring the abstractions of Miró, Picasso, Marini, Max Ernst, Hartung, Chagall and others. Text in French with some English at the back.
Condition: Complete as issued, the covers have some shelfwear, some scrapes to their top edge, corners bumped, upper corner bump affecting the inner pages, and the encapsulation is bubbling at the spine folds and rippling a bit on the rear cover, otherwise the covers are sturdy and bright, and are doing their job well. Internally, the pages are lightly creased at their upper corner, some tiny droplet staining to the title page, else tight, bright, clean, clear and unmarked. The lithographs are very bright and clean with a light bit of wear to the binding edge as normal and a very light crease to the upper corner. Overall a solid, presentable copy, with excellent original midcentury lithographs.
