A beautifully sad artists book inspired by Michal's return to his childhood home following his mother's death. Filled with haunting photographs and poetic reflections about the past and present and the mortality of his family, himself, and his home. Double exposures combine old and new photographs, portraying the changes that have occurred since his house was inhabited, and eerily highlighting the current decay and ghostlike absence of his family.
Duane Michals (b. 1932) Renowned American photographer with one of the most individual and original voices in photography today. Noted for his sequential narrative images and multiple exposures that explore his world and for his creative approach to the photographic medium, often using the camera to explore the inner workings of the mind.
