1927 THE LAW OF STOCKBROKERS - Law Relating to Transactions for Customers on the NEW YORK STOCK EXCHANGE
THE LAW OF STOCKBROKERS : Including the Law Relating To Transactions For Customers on the New York Stock Exchange, by Douglas Campbell, of the New York Bar.
NEW YORK: Baker, Voorhis & Company, third edition, 1927.
Hardcovers, brown cloth covered boards, 4 raised spine bands, two leather spine title labels, 6x9 inches, xx + 259 pages. There is an early label "Baker, Voorhis & Co / Law Books / New York" on the upper corner of the front pastedown.
GOOD condition, the covers have a few scratches and some edge wear, else solid with bright title labels; internally there are numerous pencil marks, notes and underlinings throughout (perhaps by a 1927 stockbroker trying to stay out of trouble), otherwise the pages are just lightly toned with a small smudge mark here and there. A solid copy that was studiously read and marked.
1927 printings of this book are almost impossible to find. Perhaps stockbrokers burned all their copies after the 1929 crash, or took them with them when they jumped!
