Hardcovers, leather spine and paper covered boards, gilt title and designs on the front cover, built with metal hinges and metal plates binding the covers and text, sturdy and feels it (nice heavy heft), 9.5x15.5 inches. Pagination: VII, 349, [18]. Includes two fold open violin schematics, one in the pocket on the inside front cover and one in the pocket on the inside rear cover.
Richly illustrated with 100s of drawings and photographs.
GOOD condition: The front cover is bright and clean, the rear cover has areas of light white paint smudges and some white paint to the bottom edge (possibly white latex paint), overall the covers are sturdy and doing their job well. Internally, the first page has black offsetting from the inside front cover's black vinyl pocket, otherwise the inner pages are tight, bright, clean, clear and unmarked. A solid, complete (including its two fold-open schematics), very presentable copy.
This SIGNED and LIMITED First Edition is quite hard-to-find.
