Published by Longmans Green & Co., London and New York, 1938. First edition. Hardcover book, 8" x 10.5" inches, 252 pages, no dustjacket. Illustrated with some b&w plates. GOOD PLUS condition, the covers have light wear to the spine ends and corner tips, some scrapes to the spine folds; internally, the front inner hinge has some clear tape reinforcement, the text block has a few hairline cracks but is holding well with the sewn binding, otherwise the pages are tight, bright, clean and unmarked and GEORGE GERSHWIN'S signature is bold and bright.
