This copy is SIGNED by GORDON BUEHRIG on the front free endpaper. Buehrig, b.1904 d.1990, designed the CORD MODEL 810 & 812 and many other classic cars. He was inducted into the Automotive Hall of Fame in October 1989.

This copy is also an INSCRIBED PRESENTATION COPY [presumably by the author, Dan R. Post] to Ernie Mendicki: "To Ernie Mendicki / one of those who knows that 812 is a lot more than two minutes after 810." The inscription is on the front free endpaper above the signature of Gordon Buehrig.

Hardcover book, brown cloth covered boards, gilt titling and design on the front cover and spine, 6x9 inches, approximately 200 pages (paginated in sections).

VERY GOOD condition, the top of the spine has been pulled leaving some creasing and a 1/4 inch closed tear, otherwise tight, bright, clean and unmarked. A solid, very nice copy.

Ernest Mendicki, 1938-2002, was a car enthusiast well known in the automotive community. He reportedly had an encyclopedic knowledge of classic cars. Dan R. Post, also a car enthusiast, wrote a number of books on automobiles. Gordon Buehrig has his own Wikipedia page, well worth reading.
