1920 FOURTH NEW YORK LEGISLATIVE CORRESPONDENTS DINNER - SOVIETS REDS REVOLUTION
FOURTH INTERNATIONALE - A Session of Soviets, Seething with Socialism, Sweetism, Sedition, Seven-Cent Fares, School Ma-ams, Soda-Water, Slams, Slander, Simps and Strangulation, and Bristling with Booms, Boobs, Bombs and Bunk.
Program for the fourth annual dinner of the LEGISLATIVE CORRESPONDENTS' ASSOCIATION OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, held at the TEN EYCK, Albany, New York, April 22, 1920. Includes a dinner menu, a bunch of politically outrageous satirical political parody songs, and a list of officers and committee members of the Legislative Correspondents' Association of New York.
Hardcovers, paper covered boards with a cloth covered spine, illustrated front cover drawing that depicts angry people with bombs and torches, and a political leader on a pedestal holding a bloody sword, 8x11 inches, 16 pages.
FAIR condition, the covers are worn through along the edges, soiled, scraped, and stained at the top edge, nonetheless they are doing the job and the front cover illustration alone is worth the price of admission imho; internally, the front and rear hinges are cracking and tender, there is a half moon stain to the top margin of all the pages (as on the covers), the pages are lightly toned, and there is a small spot here and there. A worn but complete copy.
RARE FOURTH New York Legislative Correspondents' Association Dinner program, from a time when correspondents weren't trepidatious and their humor was scandalously funny.
