VERY GOOD condition: The modern covers are FINE. Internally, there is a "University of California" blindstamp on the title page and first page of text, and a "Withdrawn" ink stamp on the verso of the title page; but these are the only ex-libris indications I found. Otherwise, the pages are lightly toned as normal, with a small tape repair, smudge, and mark here and there, overall the inner pages are tight, clean, clear and unmarked. A complete, beautifully bound copy of this original 1845 work.

McCulloch collected the early literature of political economy, and wrote on the scope and method of economics and the history of economic thought.
