Published in conjunction with the exhibition of fine bindings made by hand bookbinders of the HBC. The exhibition took place at the Main San Francisco Public Library in 1997. The book contains photographic illustrations of 56 of the bindings that were on display.

Hardcovers, textured cloth covered boards, gilt title to the front board, metal spiral bound, 4.5x6 inches, contains 56 glossy postcards, each with a photograph of a fine hand binding by a California bookbinder on the front and descriptions of the binding and information about the binder on the verso. There are also a couple prelim sheets (one an Introduction by Sandra Good) and a couple sheets at the end.

SIGNED & INSCRIBED: TWENTY-SIX of the ILLUSTRATED POSTCARDS are SIGNED and/or INSCRIBED on the backsides to SANDRA GOOD by the Binder whose Fine Binding illustrates the front of the postcards. The binders who signed and/or inscribed their cards are: Jane H. Aaron (2), Patricia Bolt, Michael Burke, Tom Conroy (2), John Demerritt, Patricia Galante, Victor Honig, Signa Houghteling, Marie Kelzer (2), Nysa Wong Kline (2), Eleanore E. Ramsey, Dominic Riley, Robert S. Rosenzweig (2), Joanne Sonnichsen (2), Peter & Donna Thomas (4), Juniper Von Phitzer (2). Many of the inscriptions thank Sandra Good for setting up the exhibition, and for her work as President of the HBC. Also bound into Sandra Good's copy at the rear is a manuscript postcard from the book artist Joe D'Ambrosio, and a manuscript letter from Fauno Cordes, a book collector and an amazing woman.

NEAR FINE condition, tight, bright, clean and clear. Illustrated cards and signatures are all great.
