GOOD MINUS condition: the covers are toned at the spine and edges, there is a light bump at the top of the spine and the front hinge is split at the top 1 inch; internally, the glue is old and cracking which means pages or signatures could come loose if opened wide (this is the case with every copy of this book I have seen - the binder used poor glue) but all the pages are currently holding, otherwise the pages are sharp, bright, clean, clear and unmarked.

GOOD MINUS condition: there is wear and a bit of splitting at the top and bottom spine folds, the inner pages are lightly toned and, like the above copy, poor glue was used in binding this book and the binding is crackling when when opened somewhat wide), otherwise the book is complete, tight, bright, clean and unmarked.

Italian punk emerged in 1980, a raw, anti establishment movement deeply tied to music and zines. The Parma punk movement was defined by no future nihilism, political rage, and anti fascist tension.

PUSHE 27. PUSHER ART IMAGE. Anno 1 Numero 1. Self published in Parma, Italy, [1981]. First issue of this pioneering Italian Punk Zine from Parma. Illustrated covers, side staple bound, 13" x 9.25", 32 pages, illustrated throughout with black & white comix, photos, and existential graphics, includes articles on the local underground music scene, David Bowie, Lindsay Kemp, DADA, New Atomic Generation, and Peter Gabriel. Text in Italian. Only four issues were published between 1981 and 1984. VERY GOOD Condition: some wear/creasing to the spine margins, lightly bumped corners, light foxing to rear cover, internally, light signs of age/use overall tight, bright, clean and unmarked. Scarce.

Lindsay Kemp was a legendary British dancer, choreographer, and mime artist who served as a mentor, muse, and lover to a young David Bowie. He fundamentally shaped Bowie's theatricality, stagecraft, and the creation of his iconic Ziggy Stardust persona.

Softcover, staple bound, 12" x 9", 12 pages. The Custom Alphabetical Index showcases over 200 graphic alphabet specimens from A to Z. With two sheets of relevant advertising ephemera laid in. Timely Typography's original typefaces helped to define San Francisco's iconic counterculture graphic design and greatly influenced psychedelic poster art.

Timely Typography was a prominent San Francisco mid century type foundry and typesetting house. They provided professional typesetting services and type specimens to local advertising agencies and specialized in custom type designs for graphic designers, print shops, top ad agencies and publishers across the Bay Area. They produced specimen catalogues and even created their own proprietary dry transfer lettering system called Modi-Film, a unique local alternative to London based Letraset. Timely was at its peak in the 1960s and early 1970s making the transition from metal type to photo typesetting, but computer technology was growing and agencies began doing their typography in house leading Timely to shutter.

ALPHABET PUZZLE. A Special Edition for the Museum of Modern Art, New York. Published by David, Delaney-Arrow, Inc., New York City, 1974. Designed by Michael Schacht. An alphabet of twenty letterforms. Six letters have a double usage thereby completing the universal twenty-six letter alphabet.

Typographic jigsaw puzzle designed by Michael Schacht exclusively for the New York Museum of Modern Art. Contains approximately 200 colorful puzzle pieces, finished size is 12" x 15". In original illustrated cardboard box, 6.75" x 8.25" x 1.5", in original shrink wrap with a metallic NYMoMA Bookstore sticker on the rear. The puzzle consists of 20 colorful abstract, geometric letterforms that double as puzzle pieces, six of the designs are reversible allowing the puzzle to form all 26 letters of the English alphabet. NEAR FINE Condition: light wear to original shrink-wrap, box has light bottom corner-tip wear, and the bottom of the box has some escaped puzzle dust trapped beneath the clear plastic wrap, a bright and vivid specimen of 1970s design ephemera.

Davis, Delaney-Arrow was a prominent New York City commercial printing firm specializing in high quality color reproductions, offset lithography, and notably produced special editions, custom art ephemera and exhibition catalogs for the Museum of Modern Art during the mid-20th century.
