Typescript with hand drawn embroidery designs, circa 1930s, copied from selected embroidery projects highlighting different techniques from Mrs. Archibald H. Christie's coveted 1909 publication "Embroidery : A Collection of Articles on Subjects Connected with the Study of Fine Needlework, including Stitches, Materials, Methods of Work, and Designing, and History, with Numerous Illustrations and Coloured Plates of Modern Work". Published London, James Pearsall & Co., MDCCCCIX. Hand typed typescript and hand drawn designs on onion skin paper, 8.5" x 11", 3 hole punched, bound with a single brass brad, about 75 leaves written on one side, some additional scraps (some on bank deposit slips dated 1930s) with hand drawn transfer patterns and handwritten notes laid-in, 22 pages filled with large color pencil drawings, and many pages of pen and ink patterns and beautifully detailed figures and diagrams. VERY GOOD CONDITION: mild age toning and wear around some hole punches, a lovely vintage homemade embroidery technique copy book.
