Items include: (1) PHOTO ALBUM containing approximately 110 photographs, mostly of LENA BIRKOVA, both in theatrical scenes and in everyday life. Most appear to be from the 1950s to the early 1960s. Many are 3.5x5 inches, but there are also smaller and larger sizes. Many are mounted, others have become dismounted. It appears that most of the photos can be easily dismounted. Some have written notes on the backside. (2) Approximately 240 loose photographs of various sizes including many snapshots, of LENA BIRKOVA and her family, including daughter, grandchildren, husbands. Most photos include Lena in the photo, the majority being candid family photos, but there are some of Lena in various stage persona. Photos range from her younger days to her days as a grandmother. (3) Some larger 8x10 photos, and an identity card. (4) A group of postcards written to Lena in Praha by a grandchild. Lena Birková was born on September 16, 1925 in Chabarovsk, Russia.. She was a working actress with roles in numerous Czech and International theatre and film productions starting in the 1950s. One of her last films was a role in the Academy Award winning film Kolya (1996). She died on December 7, 2010 in Prague, Czech Republic. Photos of Lena Birkova are hard to find. I'M A FISH, A MUSICIAN, A WIFE, AND A MOM. An illustrated biography of Margaret Fish and her relations, put together and self published by her husband, Thomas K. McManus, after her death in 1994. Self published softcover booklet, undated but circa 1995. The front page is a printed reproduction of a painting of Margaret Fish, it is covered with a clear vinyl cover. The rear cover is black vinyl, the spine is covered with black cloth tape covered spine. There are 68 pages, 8.5x11 inches. Illustrated throughout with reproductions of vintage b&w photographs of Margaret Fish and Her Relations. Contains a lot of genealogical information regarding Margaret Fish and her relations. The person who compiled / created this genealogy researched several books and pulled items from them that were related to John Lewis Beard and His Descendants. Some of the books used for this genealogy include: The History of Rowan County, North Carolina, by Jethro Rumple, 1881; History of Florida in Three Volumes, the Lewis Publishing Company, 1923; Sketches of Prominent North Carolinians, by Jerome Dowd, 1888; North and South Carolina Marriage Records, compiled by William Montgomery Clemens, 1927; and Colonial Records of North Carolina. In addition the genealogist used the "Book of Remembrance" held at St. Luke's Parish, Salisbury, North Carolina, which contained sections on Miss Christine Beard, Mrs. Margretta Burns Beard, and Miss Julia Margrett Beard. Also referenced are various wills, deeds, newspaper reports, etc.

The genealogy is accompanied with a cover letter to the previous owner. It begins: "Dear Charles / Well at long last, here is the final copy of the Roberts Family History book that I've been working on for over three years. As I have said to you many times before, this is a family history book, and not intended to be a history book that might be of great interest to others. However, as you know, it ended up having some pretty interesting facts about Antioch, Petaluma, and the rest. Thus, I am sending you a full binder copy so that you might put it in the Antioch Historical Society...Keep in mind this is the Public Version of the book...There are others who will receive a Public Version copy of this book, such as LDS Utah Family History Library, Petaluma Historical Society, etc. / Lynnette Roberts / Roseburg, Oregon".

d. JULY 23, 2018. GENEALOGY for his STANLEY and MANY RELATED FAMILIES. A unique genealogical compilation, gathered and prepared by Donald Odell Stanley until his death in 2018. One of a kind. Contains approximately 530 PAGES of PEDIGREE CHARTS, DATA SHEETS, FAMILY HISTORIES, etc., all related to DONALD ODELL STANLEY, his STANLEY FAMILY, and EVERY FAMILY GENETICALLY CONNECTED to his FAMILY going as FAR BACK as POSSIBLE. There are also some original documents at the rear, including his certified Birth Certificate, his LDS Ordination Certificates, etc. Some of the FAMILY NAMES in the PEDIGREE CHARTS and DATA SHEETS include, STANLEY (of course), STANDLEY, Upson, ORR, Hoagland, SONDEREGGER, Wilson, BUHLER, Torgler, HAECHLER, Altgelt, BENTON, Bronson, COWELS, and MANY MORE. There are approximately 200 Pedigree Chart Sheets. The PEDIGREE CHART SHEETS are official printed LDS sheets with genealogical information that has been HAND TYPED onto them. There are approximately 300 individual family Data Sheets. The DATA SHEETS contain information on individual families, with HUSBAND at the top. Includes names of wife, children, and parents. Also gives dates of Baptism, date "Endowed", etc., relating to the family. Some of the sheets have hand typed information, most are photocopies of typed sheets. There are approximately 30 pages of photocopies of typed Family Histories. These are brief histories, each one or several pages long, of some of the individual families related to the D.O. Stanley family. There are some plastic covered sheets at the rear that contain original documents related to Donald Odell Stanley. All are official, with hand signatures, etc.

They are: A Certified Copy of His Birth Certificate dated 1938; a Certificate of Blessing dated 1938; a Certificate of Baptism and Confirmation dated 1947; a Certificate of Baptism and Confirmation dated 1947;

three Certificate of Ordination in the Aaronic Priesthood documents, one ordains him as a Deacon, one a Teacher, one a Priest, dated 1950, 1953 and 1954 respectively; a Certificate of Ordination to the Melchizedek Priesthood as an Elder. There are also some introductory sheets that are template sheets about the Church of Latter Day Saints, its Temples, Founders, etc. All are BOUND into a Mormon BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE binder, thick black cloth covered wooden boards, metal posts. Binder measures 9x15 inches, inner sheets are 8.5x14 inches. VERY GOOD CONDITION: There is a crease to the first page, an introductory page about Latter Day Saints, otherwise all the pages are well bound and are bright, clean, clear and fully legible. Substantial archive of genealogical materials, including handwritten notes, letters, charts, etc., lots of ephemera, articles, documents, photographs, computer printouts and disks, family trees, etc. etc. FOUR 3 RING BINDERS STUFFED with MATERIAL, plus two books, one on Early Fairchild Families and one on Lauderdale County, Mississippi. From the Estate of MAMIE WALTERS late of Crockett, California, b. 1947 d. 2018, who clearly was the gatherer, writer, and compiler of the materials. Appears to have been gathered and written by Mamie Walters for a book she hoped to publish on the WALTERS and related families. Much of the material seems to have been gathered and written in the 2000s, up until her death in 2018. What I can glean from the material is that her main genealogical roots are WALTERS and FAIRCHILD, and that her early roots include Mississippi, among other places. The materials are all either 3 hole punched and in the rings of the binder, or stuffed loosely into the binders. All are clean and legible though in various states of handling, showing creases and use. The two books have relevant handwritten notes and marks. A jumbled treasure of genealogy. Have Fun!!!
