The wealth of historic information clearly presented in this ice atlas serve as a record of the environmental changes in the Arctic happening right now due to global warming.

Hardcover, gilt titling and blind-stamped map on the front cover, original white plastic comb binding, elephant folio, 24.5" × 24.25", 106 pages, illustrated with 86 color maps, tables and charts. GOOD CONDITION: complete as issued, this very large format atlas has light warping, shelf rubbing, and some staining to the covers, the comb binding has a few broken combs but is holding well, internally, just some light wear, waviness, finger smudges and light signs of use, overall the maps and inner pages are tight, bright, clean and unmarked. Uncommon.
