Original 1967 FLY PAN AM TO SAN FRANCISCO Vintage Travel POSTER Iconic Midcentury View KRONFELD

Original vintage 1967 FLY PAN AM TO SAN FRANCISCO, U.S.A. Poster. From an original photograph believed to be taken by long time Pan Am staff photographer Chester "Blackie" Kronfeld who died tragically at the age of 49 while on assignment in the horrific American Airlines plane crash that killed 95 people in New York on March 1, 1962.

Off-set Color Lithograph, published by [Pan American Airlines], May, 1967 (as indicated by the printing code 5/67 in the lower right margin), large format 34.5" x 44", printed on matte paper. GOOD CONDITION: light age toning, light edgewear, and a quarter size old water droplet to the blank backside of the poster that is faintly visible on the image (it's in the sky just above the tower on the Marin side of the Golden Gate Bridge, see my photographs), no rips, tears, holes or chips, overall a bright, clean and uncommon 1967 Pan Am advertising poster. Will be shipped safely rolled in a sturdy tube. A respectable midcentury poster that would look stunning framed.

In the 1960s Pan Am produced a series of large format promotional travel posters depicting fabulous shots of iconic destinations with bold red and blue text and airplane icon at the bottom stating "Fly Pan Am To . "
